Orange Historical Society

This will be a long and difficult, but interesting task Through the years much of the history and artifects have lost.There are many reasons for the loss of these items many members did not return from the first and second world and other wars, many, thankfully, did return from these wars but may not have have come back to Lisburn. There have been a number of Orange Halls attacked and destroyed, along with the buildings there have been many historical items. Another reason for members leaving or transferring is the vast population movement in the last thirty years, many personal items of great historical significance have moved along with families. There are many lodges which for one reason or other have handed their warrants in, some which have moved to other districts, closer to the homes of their members.
